After a full day in the classroom exercising their powers of critical thinking and problem solving, Thacher students head outdoors to exercise their bodies and learn new skills. Because the School believes that everyone benefits from regular, strenuous physical activity, each student takes part in an afternoon activity every season.
Some students continue to develop their horsemanship in the arena, on the gymkhana field or on trails; others hit the athletic fields on varsity, junior varsity, or third teams. (There’s a team for everyone who wants to play.) In their endeavors students often discover a new passion—whether it’s rock climbing, dance, or kayaking—and challenge themselves to learn new skills.
