Thacher is all about challenging yourself: physically with the Horse Program and camping trips and mentally in the classroom. If you’re looking for a challenge and a unique experience, go for it!
My favorite class at Thacher was definitely U.S. History during my junior year. It was probably my favorite because I didn’t expect it to be. Before that class, I might have said that history was my least favorite subject and that it bored me. However, that class completely changed my perspective. The essay topics were always interesting, and it was taught by the amazing Dr. Greene.
The most impactful person:
My freshman and sophomore year prefects, Ibby and Zanna, have had the greatest impact on me during my time at Thacher. Both of those years were huge transitions for me, and they were both so kind and willing to help.
Thacher’s influence on me:
I would say that my dreams have become broader since coming to Thacher. Before, I always felt like I needed to know what I wanted to do in the future. Now, I have found the beauty in constantly learning and adapting to what I find interesting. While I have an idea about the future, learning to live in the present is probably one of my biggest takeaways from going to school here.
