Advice for a student considering Thacher:
The thing that I was scared most of was the Horse Program. Growing up, I was surrounded by horses but not on the level Thacher offers, and I was scared to be taking care of a horse when I could hardly take care of myself. Some advice that I would give to a student considering Thacher is that everyone is in the same boat as you are. Not only are most people new to riding and the idea of horses, but I assure you that everyone will be experiencing something that they have not encountered in this unique riding program and that you are not alone.

    Favorite afternoon activity:
My favorite sport to play at Thacher is volleyball. Not only do I love the sport, but the team has such a close bond that allows you the opportunity to have really strong connections with girls outside of your grade. I like the dynamic of a team sport and this sport gives you the chance to create special bonds with people you might not have gotten the chance to know on that kind of level.

    Living and studying at Thacher:
The abundance of resources. Whether it is a question on the homework or some advice on some social problems, you always have a friend or an adult on campus who will help you with your questions or problems. It is so easy to get help on campus, because everyone is around and always welcoming.

How my hopes, dreams, or ambitions for the future have change:
I think that Thacher has allowed me to be more confident in my hopes and dreams. Before Thacher, I was always second-guessing my hopes and not being confident in achieving my goals, but Thacher has provided me with a new lens and has taught me that I can achieve anything that I put my heart and hard work into. It has also made me more excited about my future and given me so many new thoughts about what my future has in store for me.
