Alumni Events & Activities

Community Events

Alumni, parents of alumni, parents of current students, and other Thacher community members are invited to connect at events hosted around the country and right here on campus at Casa de Piedra.

Reunion Weekend

June

Each year, after the seniors have celebrated their rite of commencement, those that have already graduated Casa De Piedra return to campus. Classmates gather again below Twin Peaks—surrounded by the scent of orange blossoms and horses—to remember their days at Thacher and to forge new memories and connections.

Thacher Day

January 7, 2023

Campus is open to you! Thacher Day is a new event during Winter Break for all community members to come enjoy the campus and all that is special here in the Ojai Valley. Thacher Natural History Workshop

July or August

Over 50 years ago, a small group of dedicated alumni secured the lease to a parcel of land in the southern Sierra Nevada known as Thacher Natural History Workshop. Since then, the camp has been the site for thousands of people, young and old, to step out of the grind of their daily lives and to reconnect with nature. Alumni have gathered with their families and classmates around its tables and campfire, deepening their personal connections while climbing mountains, swimming in alpine lakes, and enjoying the grandeur of the Sierra in its summer richness. The Thacher Natural History Workshop is temporarily not in use due to a permitting issue with the U.S. Forest Service. If there are any questions, please reach out to alumni@thacher.org.

Gatherings

Year Round

Alumni Gatherings take place across the nation and throughout the year. Meet Thacher community members in your own city, network with other alums, and connect with Thacher.
