Sleep, Dreams, and the Emotional Process

What role do dreams play in your emotional well being and social health? Do you ever think your dreams are eerily reflective of your real life experiences or emotional states? There's a reason for that and it has to do with the way your brain processes memories, emotions, and experiences. It has long since been proved that sleep as a whole is vital to emotional health, but I wanted to further explore the ways in which dreams specifically affect our emotions and waking life experiences, as well as how those waking life experiences can, in turn, affect dreams.
