Gangstagrass
Thacher enjoys a melodic mashup of bluegrass and hip-hop.
Gangstagrass, a band whose unique sound—a combination of bluegrass and hip-hop—was conceived back in the 2006, put on a concert to remember recently here at Thacher. This dynamic group entertained and engaged the audience with their one-of-a-kind music. Many students and faculty got up to dance and Steven Yoo '19 even joined the group on stage to show off some of his breakdancing moves.
The group members encouraged the interactive atmosphere, inviting questions and audience participation throughout the show.
