Thacher Pack and Spur Provides Rides for Thacher Children

Thacher family children got "up close and personal" with horses.
This past Sunday, the Thacher Pack and Spur club (PTS) provided horseback rides for the children of faculty and staff. The event was open to children up to 12-years-old. Richard Winters, director of the Horse Program, said that they wanted to give the children a chance to get "up close and personal” with the horses. For some of the youngest children, this was their first time on a horse. Along with rides, the children had an opportunity to feed the horses treats of carrots and apples - always an exciting early equine encounter.
