Senior Exhibition Projects Get Underway

Seniors get feedback on potential Senior Exhibition subjects during the Senior Ex "speed dating" events.
The year-long Senior Exhibition process got underway with a "speed dating" exercise in which seniors met in quick succession with faculty members to pitch and polish topic ideas. Topics will continue to evolve in the coming weeks as students meet with their faculty research advisors and refine their thinking, but here are some of the issues of interest this year:
  • Ethics and immigration policy
  • Entrepreneurship in the U.S. Understanding the probable effects of nuclear war
  • The future of cowboy culture
  • Sustainable food production
  • Literary Modernism
  • The constitutionality of executive orders
  • Blackness as a social construct
  • The science of organ transplants
  • The socio-political implications of the adult film industry
  • The psychology of persuasion.
The next step will be to distill topics into compelling research questions and start digging.
