Thacher Celebrates the Opening of its New Wellness Center

New Space Supports Student Health and Well-Being
In support of Thacher's commitment to expanding its resources in support of student's mental health and well-being, the School recently celebrated the opening of its new Wellness Center. Located in the former Health Center building, the Wellness Center currently holds offices for visiting therapists to meet with students on campus for individual sessions, as well as the opportunity for support groups to meet together in a private setting. It is also a space where students can come to study, hang out, socialize, or just to listen to a meditation app and find a moment of peace and relaxation.
The Wellness Center will offer ongoing wellness activities and events, such as yoga and mindfulness, and the Emotional Health Task Force, a group of students and faculty who are passionate about creating more opportunities for health and wellness, will help to plan fun activities and events centered around individual and community wellness.
