For College Admission Officers

College Admission Officers

Thacher happily welcomes college admission officers to visit with all our students every year. With the success of virtual visits via Zoom last year, we will continue to offer those opportunities, and look forward to in-person visits to campus within our covid safety protocols. Fully vaccinated visitors may schedule campus recruitment visits and one-to-one interviews with seniors during September and October.
As we continue to make it our priority to accommodate college admissions offices' travel plans, the College Counseling Office promises to keep both virtual and in-person formats available for the 2021-2022 school year.

Scheduling Your Visit—Beginning August 2021

Students are available for both virtual and in-person visits on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm, and on Wednesdays at 8 am (all times Pacific), in the dining hall.
Follow the link on the right to YouCanBook.Me and provide a Zoom link for your meeting. We will do our best to accommodate in-person or virtual meetings and one-to-one interviews with senior applicants outside of the times provided, if necessary. On various evenings, students may be available for a 7-7:45 pm meeting before Study Hall.
On a final note, please reach out to Jill Manfredi, our administrative assistant who manages the calendar, with any questions or evening requests at or 805-646-4377 extension 255.

We welcome any representatives who are interested and or able to offer our students an opportunity to interview as part of the application process.  We recognize the value of this meeting for both admission officers and our students. On March 13, 2020, in response to the covid-19 health crisis, Thacher School closed its campus during Spring Break. On March 26, students returned to the final Spring Trimester via online learning. Additionally, committed to supporting our students and their learning at home during this unprecedented pandemic, Thacher's Academic Council, with approval from our head of school, made the decision to move to a ‘pass/no pass’ grading system for the trimester.
