The Thacher School is committed to creating a diverse community in which our students can live, learn and grow. Our Pegasus Fly-In Program was created to break down barriers that have kept students from historically marginalized communities out of independent boarding schools. The mission of The Pegasus Fly-In Program is to provide prospective students and families of all backgrounds with equitable access to our admissions process.

Our Pegasus Fly-In Program covers the cost of a visit to campus for a prospective student and one parent/guardian on December 6 & 7, 2026. This is for students applying to Thacher for Fall 2027 entry.
Candidate Selection
Ideal candidates for our Pegasus Fly-In Program are students who are:
- A member of a historically underrepresented group (i.e. but not limited to: First Generation, Low-Income, Asian, Black, Indigenous, Hispanic/Latine, or Person of Color)
- Academically successful and curious students (at least a B+ average)
- Applying to Thacher for Fall 2027 entry and ready for new adventures
- Able to travel to our campus in Ojai, CA with parent/guardian for the program on December 6 & 7, 2026
