    Bio
     
    Originally from the pea-sized town of Bishop, California, Edgar is a 2015 graduate of Kenyon College. While at Kenyon, Edgar studied psychology and philosophy and played for the Kenyon Lords, captaining the team during his senior year. 

    At Thacher, Edgar teaches Pyschology, is the Dorm Head of Los Padres dormitory, and advises senior boys.
     
    Thrilled beyond measure to serve as the School’s first Fisher Fellow, what Edgar loves most about Thacher is being part of such a vibrant and unique community, dedicated to the cultivation of intentionally resilient, mindful, and genuinely kind individuals.

    As the Director of People Operations at Thacher, Justin helps to enhance the culture of creativity, productivity, and innovation that is foundational to our work as educators in supporting the growth and development of the students in our care. Prior to joining Thacher, Justin was a consultant specializing in executive coaching, organization design, leadership development, change management, and high performance team building. He also served as Vice President and Manager of People Strategy and Development at a major Engineering and Construction company. In this role he was accountable for the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide talent strategies that spanned the employee lifecycle. Justin has worked on multiple projects throughout the United States as well as Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, and the United Arab Emirates. Justin holds an undergraduate degree in human and organizational development and a master’s degree in leadership and organizational performance from Vanderbilt University.

    Bio
     
    Born and raised in Southern California, Evan developed a passion for music at an early age. Although trumpet is his primary instrument, he has developed his piano and percussion skills as well. After earning his bachelor's degree in music from the University of North Texas, Evan spent several years as a professional trumpet player, music arranger, and orchestrator in Los Angeles. He continued his education at USC, where he earned his Master’s degree in Jazz Studies. Evan spent three years as the director of bands at the Buckley School, and then twenty-three years at Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences, serving as chair of the Music Department and working with jazz and strings students. Evan is thrilled to be living in Ojai with his family and working with amazing young musicians.
