    I graduated from Thacher in 1999. For years, I had thought about how wonderful it would be to have the opportunity to return to Thacher and teach within the Horse Department, giving back to a program that had so much influence on me throughout my life.

    Thank goodness, I love what I do. When not teaching, I can be found right where I am when I am teaching, at the barns. My passion is the horses. Most likely you will find the Seely family hanging around the barns in the evening.

    Charlie Russel is said to have painted the history of west. He also lived for a time in Cascade, Montana, where we just moved from, and truly captured the heart of North Central Montana.

    Ian Tyson, Canadian singer songwriter, is another artist that I feel has been a big part of my life. His songs speak volumes of my childhood in British Columbia. We would ice skate for hours in front of our log cabin with Ian playing on the cassette player.

    I am most proud of my family. I have four children ranging from 7-18. My family has been my main focus over the last 18 years.

    I am a singer/songwriter and have had the honor of winning several awards within the cowboy/western music genre. I was also honored to have my music archived in the Cowboy Hall of Fame Museum in Oklahoma City.

    There is a cowboy song titled “My home’s in Montana” that speaks the way to my heart. Montana is a special place for my family and me. The big skies and mountains make me feel at home.
