• Volleyball- Girls' Beach

    2025 - 2026

Girls beach volleyball is Thacher's newest CIF sport, as the Toads played their first match on their home sand in February 2023. Our beach courts, lovingly called "Playa de Piedra," represent an ideal playing space, where the tenets of passionate leadership, hard work, sportsmanship, camaraderie, and good cheer grace the program. The Toads annually compete in the Tri Valley League playing top schools from Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties; that said, the sand courts serve as a welcoming space for all levels of beach volleyball players.

    About Coach Trejo:
Coach Trejo is the founding coach of Thacher’s Beach Volleyball program, leading the Toads into their first CIF competitions on the sand three years ago. Since beginning her coaching career in 2018, she has developed players at all levels: teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and helping athletes compete at a high level. Her goals extend beyond performance on the court: she seeks to cultivate resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong love for the game.  Coach Trejo has also served as the head coach for all-three levels (varsity, JV, and 9th grade) of indoor volleyball at Thacher since 2021. In her first year with the varsity, she was named Frontier League Coach of the Year.  Before arriving at Thacher, Trejo coached 7th and 8th grade volleyball at Mark Day School and worked with the Firebolts Volleyball Club, training athletes ages 12–17. She is a USA Volleyball–certified coach, holding both IMPACT and SafeSport certifications.
