Epigenetics and Mental Health in the Black Community.
The conversation surrounding mental health is rarely centered around people of color. Yet racism in the United States is tangible— not only at societal levels, but physiological and psychological levels as well. Look at epigenetics— how outside factors affect us biologically— and hear more about the necessity of eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health in Black communities, providing better mental health care, and moving forward from here.
