    At Thacher since 2001, Megan has worked as an Advanced Psychology and English teacher, an admission associate, and a dorm head. Within her role as Director of Student Life, Megan plays a central role in developing policy, vision, and programming for residential life, student health and wellness, the advisor program, and student leadership; additionally, she works closely with the Director of Studies, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Director of Counseling and Wellness, and Student Activities Coordinator to build curriculum and systems that best serve students in becoming resilient, hardworking, passionate, and empathetic thinkers and leaders at Thacher and beyond. Most importantly, Megan strives to be a trusted adult for students as well as a source of empowerment, clarity, and optimism during their critical adolescent years. 

    Megan graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and went on to earn her A.B. from Princeton University and her M.Ed. from The Harvard School of Education. Before moving to Thacher, she worked at The Baylor School (Chattanooga, Tennessee) as a counselor and at Dana Hall School (Wellesley, Massachusetts) as an English teacher. Megan lives in Ojai with her husband and three children, two Thacher graduates and a current junior.

    Ms. Nicole Chung is a Fisher Fellow in the Science Department. She graduated from Amherst this past spring, with a degree in chemistry and education. While at Amherst she played important roles in the college’s ongoing efforts around diversity, equity, and inclusion and health and wellness.
