There are many occasions we celebrate together, but none are as joyous as a birth.
Over the winter break, the Thacher community welcomed its newest member, Max Elizabeth Grant-Omansiek. Born to Heather Grant (Science) and Bill Omansiek at 1:30 pm on December 28, 2015, Max weighed in at 7 pounds 11 ounces. Both mom and baby (and dad!) are happy, healthy, and settling in. As Ms. Grant articulated, "We're spending lots of time at home focusing on caloric intake, waste management, vocalization exercises, and sleeping patterns."
Such happy news is usually the harbinger of a School holiday. Students who follow Thacher traditions (and that's pretty much all of them) are no doubt crossing their fingers for a winter trimester holiday in honor of Max. Not that we needed another reason to love her!
