Thacher Magazine: Walking the Walk

In the spring of 2025, an email went out from David Thele and Sebastian Carr, two members of the Class of 2026, to Thacher students, faculty, and staff. “David and I are creating a new activity for everyone called Weekly Wilderness Walks."
David and Sebastian’s vision was simple, yet profound: a curated list of treks to be completed, offered as both guided group excursions and independent adventures. For those who could not make the scheduled departures, they were encouraged to gather a group of friends—adhering to the “rule of three” for safety and fellowship—and capture a photograph of the journey.
