Mental Health of South Korean Students: The Smartest Kids in the World

Boasting its 93% literacy rate, South Korea is one of the most educated countries globally, but does this come with a price? Behind the canvas of the most educated country, there are millions of South Korean students struggling to keep up with society's expectations. The nation is now holding the highest teen suicidal rate out of any nation in the world. My research dives into the reasons behind such a terrifying reality and analyzes the societal issues rooted deep within Korea’s norms, as well as how the Korean schooling system is shaped.
