At Thacher, where so much emphasis is placed on both academic and physical rigor, how can we improve disability-related equity? Universal Design, which attempts to develop environments accessible to as large an audience as possible, gives us a new perspective on accessibility, and challenges the concept of disability itself. Can it help us achieve more equity?
