By observing objects, particularly artwork, with near-infrared radiation, scientists can analyze their underlayers, allowing them to discover hidden chemical and structural data from which world-changing historical and scientific discoveries have been made. Learn about these discoveries and how I constructed a budget infrared imaging device that can achieve these results at a fraction of their professional counterparts' cost.
