It is nearly impossible, when presented with the facts, to argue that the blues music born from the Mississippi Delta is anything but the foundation for all modern music. As the United States progressed politically, this music received much appreciation and even more appropriation. The social and racial dynamics of the United States are all represented through the blues, and it would be impossible for any modern music to exist without it.
