The Pink Box: What have we learned from Crumbl Cookies’ marketing tactics, and can that framework be applied to other businesses in the modern era?

How did Crumbl rise to success and online fame so quickly? How can I make my own business as popular as Crumbl? These are two questions that are answered in this presentation through research focused on traditional marketing tactics, modern marketing tactics, and general marketing psychology. By looking at an overview of Crumbl’s history and road to success, we can discern the company’s use of tactics such as scarcity promotion, influencer brand deals, and guerilla marketing in order to address the business’ core framework and apply its structure to our own businesses in the future. We will examine sources such as Jonah Berger’s Contagious: Why Things Catch On to understand the ‘STEPPS’ model of marketing, Kirk Kristofferson’s Dark Side of Scarcity Promotions to learn about ethical dilemmas surrounding Crumbl’s tactics, and many other articles that provide relevant insight into this topic, as well.
