We Reached Our March Magic Stretch Goal!
Young alumni generosity unlocked two anonymously-donated grants to support fire relief in Ojai.
It’s official: This year’s “Thacher with Cate” March Magic is officially in the books! We’d like to extend an enormous thank you to each and every one of you who made a gift to Thacher or who reached out to encourage friends and classmates. We’re honored to have your support.
Best of all, the enormous generosity of G.O.L.D. (graduates of the last decade) alumni helped us reach our stretch goal of 70 percent participation among young alumni. That’s an incredible 451 G.O.L.D. donors in the month of March! Additionally, a number of older alumni were inspired by the younger generations and gave in March—thank you!
As promised, two anonymous friends of Thacher will match your generosity by donating a total of $20,000 to fire relief in Ojai through the Greater Goods Disaster Relief Fund. The money will go directly to the many families who are still in the process of rebuilding after the devastation of the Thomas Fires. Over at Cate they, too, reached their goal, meaning that a $20,000 grant will be released to the Santa Barbara Firefighters Alliance in support of the first responders who served that community in its hour of need.
