Julie: One of the Dolls

Julie Park
Putting Thacher back on and taking off another week.
With April under way, the juniors are now pushing through the last trimester. With the college meetings, SATs, APs and senior jobs in near sight, the only thing motivating me is the promise of the fun promised in between, from the music festival in San Diego to Unprom.

The first week back from school was a race to the finish line as the winter musical cast and crew rushed to make the final adjustments and finishes before opening night. On Friday night, Guys and Dolls opened its curtains, and it was a success! As a "hotbox girl," I had two dance numbers (one of which involved taking off a dress), and I loved every moment of our performance. Our costumes were made by our very own Ms. Hardenbergh, and the lovely outfits were just what we needed to give our performance the extra spark. Compared to the other hot box girls, my skills and experience in dance were minimal, but with their help, I miraculously was able to finish the shows with no major mistakes and a slight boost in my confidence.

Now, with the yearbook deadline looming over this week, I’m crossing my fingers for another miracle, another spectacular outcome. Luck be a Lady!
